Savannah Historic District


image This tour is a two mile drive or stroll past 42 historical homes that depict several architectural styles. Featured homes on the tour include Cherry Mansion, headquarters of General U.S. Grant during the Battle of Shiloh; the Churchwell-McGinley-Taylor house, a former women's college in the late 19th century; and Irwinwood, named for its former owner who was a purchasing agent and acquired the land for Shiloh National Military Park in the 1890s.

While on the tour, other points of interest are highlighted including the Tennessee River Museum, Savannah Theater, Savannah Main Street, Hardin County Chamber of Commerce, and Savannah Cemetery.
